Our guiding philosophy is this: the building process can be both balanced and enjoyable for the client and entire design team (architects, landscape architects, interior designers); that is achieved through constant conversation and collaboration, consistent organization, and the implementation of highly skilled craftspeople.

Alex Forden grew up among wooden boat builders and New England craftspeople and trained in Industrial Design, Sculpture and Real Estate Finance. He cut his teeth on Nantucket at Woodmeister Master Builders, in New York City at Sciame Construction and developing Two Trees Farm in Bridgehampton, NY. 

Forden & Co. is the culmination of many years of vision, ingenuity and sweat. It is nothing without the wide network of craftspeople who make actual magic. From nothing to something in every way.
